Tune Played by Seeburg Mortuary Organ Chimes
By Dave Clark

I have owned a Seeburg Mortuary Organ for some years. It came with
a chime mechanism that plays 4 notes. It has a primitive barrel
that plays a simple tune. I didn't, however, get the chime tubes.

I may be able to pick up some tubes and was wondering if anyone has
one of these units and if they know what notes it plays? If not,
can anyone determine what notes are played for the order played?

If I number the tubes 1 through 4 here is the tune:

  1 2 3 4 2 2&1 2 4 3

This is the order but I don't know the direction it plays in, but there
is no start or stop. I suppose a triad plus the octave will work but
maybe the four notes of the famous Westminster chimes would be better
(E-D-C-G).
