I have heard of the passing of our friends Ken Smith and Cliff Gray.
We were just speaking of Cliff's dedication to our organ hobby when
I heard of his passing.  He would invariably be playing his prized
Bruder at every rally I attended, even when he wasn't too "mobile".
It was a pleasure to be placed next to him and hear that organ play 
and bask in his enthusiasm.

Ken Smith had to be the most talented amateur organ builder in history!
Using ordinary machine and woodworking tools, he built organs rivaling
(some would say "bettering") Gavioli and Ruth.  (His flageolets were
made from mop handles -- but you would never know by looking.)  He
certainly lavished more detail on his organs than those makers could
afford!

His generosity will also be remembered by many.  He produced detailed
drawings and specs for all his pipe scales, and step-by-step instructions
for cardboard book production.  I don't believe these were ever published.
I wonder if someday they might be?  Anyone know the future plans for
his organs?
