In my "Winter & Co" (New York) player piano made in 1918, I found
coins dated in the 1920s, plus an old utility bill of St. Louis.

The most interesting thing I found was the piano had probably been
played more by hand than with rolls, as the black keys around the
centre of the keyboard were extremely well worn, being rounded on
the top-to-side areas and worn down to the bare wood.

It did not appear that the player action had ever been overhauled
(bellows cloth hard and brittle, tubing, etc.).  The double valve
system was as almost as good as it left the factory, the valves
and pouches excellent, the piano action well worn, with some wobbly
hammers.

This is a good quality piano, but the tone is something to be desired!
