Piano Technician Tools Stolen
By Larry Lobel

Hi all, My fellow piano technician, Will Reed, suffered the loss of
all his tools when they were stolen from his car on March 15th in Santa
Rosa, California. He reported the theft to police, who offered no hope
of recovery. He placed a reward notice in the local newspaper, but
hasn't had any response to that. He had accumulated these tools over
many years, and they included the 80-year old tuning hammer and other
antique tools given him by his mentor, plus his Sanderson Accutuner,
serial no. 175.

Will has no insurance to cover this loss. Several technicians in the
San Francisco chapter of the Piano Technicians Guild are donating spare
tools to him, and others are encouraged to do so. If any MMDers hear
of tools that might be suspicious, please notify me or Will Reed,
