Internet Fraud

I'm a collector in Germany of cylinder music boxes, specializing for the
past six years in boxes by the Prague family Rzebitschek/Rebicek.

In the MMD's for 2005.03.18 and 2005.03.27, Craig Smith wrote about a
possible eBay fraud involving a seller in Florida and a bidder
Rzebitschek (me). I don't honestly think that particular auction was
fraudulent. I have dealt with the Florida seller before, although I must
say he is not a music box specialist. I think he is selling on behalf of
another person. But I am not sure.

Fraud on eBay is not unheard of. I learned from Mr. Behrend, a member
of GSM, that a music box by A. Olbrich which I bought on eBay from a
Belgian seller was offered to Mr. Behrend three weeks later by another
"seller" in an email to him.

Best regards,
Hans-Juergen Eisel (eBay-name: Rzebitschek)
