I found Andy Taylor's list of Foster & Co. piano serial numbers [in the
98.03.27 MMD].  Ours is not listed but its number is 20806.  Would this
be in the 1897 group?

We are trying to find more information about our piano.  Anything would
help.  Thanks.

  [ If I understand Andy's table correctly, the serial number shown for
  [ each year is the first serial number for that year.  The first
  [ serial number shown for 1898 is 20400 and for 1899, 21500.  So it
  [ appears that 20806 would have been produced around March or April
  [ of 1898.
  [ Andy got the serial list from MMD subscriber Ed Gaida.  Perhaps Ed
  [ can give Lynda the exact date or more information.
