Gulbranson Instruction Roll(s)
By Rich Schommer

The four Gulbransen Instruction Rolls were given to the purchasers of a
Gulbransen Piano as part of the owner's package. The sets also had a
supplementary pamphlet with written directions for the "Martin Method."

The rolls are rather common and have generally survived in good shape,
but the instruction pamphlets were invariably lost. The rolls probably
aren't worth the postage required to ship them, but the pamphlet that
went with them is worth $10 to $15.

QRS cut the rolls exclusively for Gulbransen for some, if not all,
editions. QRS also produced a single large-size demonstration roll.
I've seen it labeled for several different makes of piano, as well as
the QRS label. It served the same purpose as the Gulbransen instruction
rolls.
