Dear MMD friends,  more and more postings to the MMD end with only
the name of the writer.  I miss knowing the name of the country where
the writer comes from, especially those people who are asking for low
worth items like spare parts, books, etc. -- things which have to be
sent by post.

You surely know that to send a small item abroad can cost a few
times more than it is worth.  Also, to send money costs a lot in the
case the buyer doesn't accept PayPal help.  Meanwhile, I answer only
if I can see that he or she resides within the European market, so the
above-mentioned costs are low.

It was a learning process; after some requests from overseas for
something (with an exchange of emails and making photos and-and-and),
often the exchange ended up with the comment, "Thanks, too expensive,"
or in a not very polite way the contact was canceled with no comment.
