Mechanical Music for Teenagers

While 1920s songs may not have been adapted in the '60s, this idea is
certainly not new.  Many songs of the big band era were arrangements of
classical music from the late 1800s.  Off the top of my head, I recall
a Glenn Miller program from about 1939 where the most requested tune
was Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto #1.  Another is Ray Noble's adaptation
of the Blue Danube Waltz.
