Organ Rolls by Keyboard Specialties
By Joyce Brite

My sister gave me three rolls that I have never seen before. They
were made by a company called Keyboard Specialties. They appear to
be multi-tune rolls like for a band organ or nickelodeon. The flanges
or end caps are aluminum. The dimensions of the rolls are:

  Roll width: 28.6 cm ~= 11.25 inches
Hole width: nearly 0.2 cm ~= .079 inch diameter
  Hole spacing: 0.2 cm ~= 12 holes/inch

Pictures of the rolls may be seen at

Robbie Rhodes believes that the music roll format is essentially the
same as the rolls made circa 1938 to be played on the Hammond Style
BA player organ.

At http://mmd.foxtail.com/MMMedia/identifying.html#Hammond :

> Hammond 120-note electric organ
> "120-note Hammond electric organ"
> paper: 10.125 inches wide
> holes: 120 holes, 12 per inch (0.2117 cm/hole)
> spool & flanges: same as American player piano roll
> produced by: Skinner Organ Co. (1938)

Can anyone offer additional information about these rolls?

Thank you,
Joyce Brite
