Rediscover Player Piano Music With a Keytop Player
By Mark Kinsler

So I'm looking through our bookshelves, as if I was really going to
discard stuff I hadn't looked at in fifteen years, when I came upon
a copy of a magazine called the Robb Report. December, 1989.

The Robb Report is a real trip: where to find the most expensive things
on earth. This copy has ads for miniature horses (yippee) and yachts,
and freshwater pearls, and Lamborghinis, and a gold-plated grille for
your Mercedes. It's great fun to read.

And one ad sez: "Rediscover Fine Player Piano Music." It shows a sort
of small 'push-up,' as I think they're called, clamped over the keyboard
of a particularly fine-looking oak-finished upright. There seems to
be a roll in it. The firm is Progressive Music, of Lincoln, Nebraska.

I suppose that the machine was electrically-operated; it doesn't seem
much bigger than the keyboard itself. Does anyone have any details?

P.S.: And there's an ad from Galco International of Phoenix, who makes
'celebrity shoulder holsters' for handguns. Be sure to send for the
48-page color catalog. No web site: it was 1989.
