Seek Aeolian Duo-Art Pipe Organ Rolls
By Mark Pleatman

Yesterday I visited Meadowbrook Hall, former home of the Dodge family
(automotive money). It is now part of Oakland University in Auburn
Hills, Michigan. They have an Aeolian Player Organ, the largest in
Michigan. It cost $56,000 70 years ago. The organ plays, but they
don't want to try playing any of the 250 or so rolls because they are
so old that they are worried that the rolls will fall apart. Does
anybody know if these rolls are still available for purchase? If not,
I suppose they could be recut.

Unfortunately they have very little money to spare on this type of
project. I am thinking that if the rolls are sufficiently rare, it
would be worth it for someone to scan and recut them just so they
could archive them.
