Due to some bumps in transportation, a few of the wooden violin pipes
in my Raffin 31er have come loose.  What glue would you recommend for
re-attaching the pipe feet to the windchest?

Raffin's pipe feet are of wood, tapered, and fit snugly and airtight
into the windchest holes, so the factory applies a limited amount of
glue.  The pipe is first inserted, then a ring of glue is applied at
the surface of the chest, more like a seal.  This makes it easier to
break a pipe loose for repairs, so I would prefer to glue it as
originally done.

The original glue seems not to be glassy hard, but still a little
pliable, yet it is not silicone caulk or rubber cement.  Doesn't seem
to be burnt shellac either.  Could it be our old friend, hot hide glue?
I believe that gets harder than this stuff, which seems not to be
water soluble.  Does Raffin have any recommendations?
