Making Trumpet Pipes With Free Reeds
By Dale Gunnar

Reed pipes for band organs normally use beating reeds to produce
a harsh sounding voice. Harmonium reeds are normally free reeds,
not beating, so if one used harmonium reeds I would expect a more
mellow voice, as in the trumpets of an old Welte orchestrion.
Probably not as loud a voice, but perhaps pleasing.
