Precision Music Rolls Duo-Art Perforator
By Dave Saul

Hello MMD readers, A recent MMD posting suggested that the new
perforator at Precision Music Rolls was about ready to produce Duo-Art
rolls. As much as I would like that to be the case, there is still
much work to be completed before the new machinery is ready to be
placed in service. This kind of work is quite labor intensive and
time consuming. Progress has been slower than I would like; my time
is already taken up by many other commitments, including Ampico roll
production.

My current Ampico catalog now contains about 170 titles, and continues
to grow. I fully appreciate the need for a reliable source of new and
properly perforated Duo-Art rolls, since I own both Ampico and Duo-Art
reproducing pianos.

Precision Music Rolls continues to be interested in acquiring one of
the original Duo-Art perforators that are known to have survived.
This could expedite the availability of Duo-Art rolls. Several such
machines are known, languishing idle somewhere, but sadly, none has yet
been made available for roll cutting. Does anyone have any idea how
and where Precision Music Rolls might be able to acquire one of the old
Duo-Art perforators?
