I remember avidly watching "The Acme School of Stuff" when I was
growing up but as it wasn't made until the late 1980s I must have
been a teenager. This story in particular stands out in my memory.

My grandparents owned an asthmatic player piano which was gutted of
its player action and brought to our house so that I could learn
to play. By the time "The Acme School of Stuff" came on the scene
I had long since lost interest and given up taking lessons, let alone
practising (how I wish I had made the most of that opportunity). Acme
introduced the name QRS to me (here in Australia Mastertouch is the
familiar brand) as well as providing my first insight into piano roll
production.

This was one of several events which kindled my interest in mechanical
music. Thanks for the memories...
