Art,  Your mention in 070409 MMD of the "Mammoth Fair Organ" record
(which does indeed capture the music of a great organ), followed
by your statement, "With a few exceptions, the record jackets don't
tell you much, but the music is worth the cost of the albums anyway,"
reminds me that when I first got that record, I spent a long time
studying the album picture to figure how the "organ" shown there could
possibly work.  The connections to the numerous bellows seemed to be
mere wires, and the nameplate was hard to decipher, except for the word
"orchestrion."  Orchestrion?  On a fairground organ?

I've come to realize from that and other examples that jacket designers
in record companies play fast and loose with the facts -- most of which
they don't know anyway -- and that very little of the puffery on jackets
can be taken at face value.  Nevertheless, the music is usually great.
