I have a player piano bench similar to that described by Brian Stahl
in MMD 070424.  The bench that I have functions in the same manner,
and still has the original dark maroon covering on the player seat.

Also attached is the original manufacturers label which reads:
Chicago Piano Bench Co.; Chicago, U.S.A.; Patented June 16, 1914.
