Amish Cast Iron Foundry

I have just such a place that does odd jobs for my firm. They are
Amish and, as such, there is probably no way you could do long-distance
business with them. Also, they are not in a position to do a great
deal of work, as they are kept busy making parts for century-old (and
older) horse-drawn farm machinery.

They have made replica 19th century pipe organ swell shoes, toe spoons
and action parts for us (using the originals for dirt-packing), as well
as a few specialty tools (for which we provided finished wood patterns).

I would be happy to be the go-between for an occasional odd job out there.
I have offered little of help to this list, and have been quite a taker;
perhaps it is give-back time.
