Player Piano Plate Breaks During Restoration
By Eliot Lee

I had a Pease upright break just before getting paid and I had to
buy it from the customer instead of getting paid the $3000 for the
restoration I did on it.

When this happens the solution is to use LockNStitch which is usually
used on engine blocks. There is no need to weld cast iron, this is
far better. If you Google the name you should see the product on-line.

I bought a kit, but another technician bought it from me because he
was the technician of the grand piano which needed fixing. It was
completely restored without restringing or welding. We will give
a class on this at our region piano technician's meeting.
