Hi, I am about to re-finish an upright Polyphon case and would like
anyone's views regarding staining and polishing back to an original
looking finish.  The whole case has had to be taken back to the
veneer and carving and I'm looking to make it as authentic looking
as possible.

A problem area seems to be the columns flanking the door, as the
colour when stripped is as good as pale cream.  Has anyone any ideas
based on their own experiences?  Thanks.
