Band Organ With Volume Controls
By Art Breitenbach

Recently I looked at a band organ for sale that had "volume controls".
There were three rheostats in the compartment with the roll frame.
Turning the knobs turned the volume of certain pipes down and then off.

How can this be? The organ didn't have a brand name, and the people
selling it knew nothing about it other than it was 20 years old.
Another band organ with these type controls sold on eBay early this
year.

[ I think it's an electronic organ, controlled ('played') by
[ a perforated paper music roll. Such instruments were built
[ years ago by MMDers Andy LaTorre and Vic Searle, among others.
