1-inch Maroon Twill-covered Rubber Hose
By Ray Fairfield

Bruce Grimes noted on July 4 that "The tubing is in far better
condition than I expected. It's supple, doesn't crack at all when
squeezed, looks like new, feels like new, acts like new. Of course,
it isn't."

In any event, I ran to measure the hoses in my Weber Duo-Art and
88-note upright to see if I could use some of his excess stock.

Bruce wondered how long the stuff would last. So I pulled a left-over
piece of (smaller diameter) twill-covered rubber hose from a purchase
I made from Durrell Armstrong 28 years ago. I found it to be still
supple and did not crack when squeezed. Still looks good too. It's
got more life in it yet. I'll contact Bruce directly to get a couple
of sections of his 1" stock.
