My thanks to Bob Conant for a most interesting and learned explanation
on façade construction.  I doubt if anyone could have explained it
better.  I, and I suspect many others in this forum, find myself drawn
to the art, craftsmanship, and sheer beauty of these spectacular
facades -- not to mention the wonderful sounds behind!  Thanks, Bob!
