Seek Thin Wall Tubing for Tracker Bar
By Randolph Herr

Hello there: I have a friend who has a beautiful Weber satinwood
foot-pumper grand that he imported from England. It seems that this
piano needs tracker bar tubing smaller than usual. He tells me that
5/32" tubing (which is .15625 inches) is too big, so I am assuming he
must need 1/8" tubing (which is .12500 inches)

I looked in the MMD Archives, and back in '99 someone reported that
Player Piano Co. can get it on special order. Does anyone know if it
is still available? Has anyone got an accurate measurement of English
Weber tracker bar tubing? Is it really 1/8"? Any help would be
appreciated.

[ I have a 9/inch tracker bar with two rows of nipples of 0.168" O.D.
[ The thin wall rubber tubing that fits well is sold as 9/64" (0.141")
[ I.D. with 0.030" wall thickness. Note: this tubing kinks easily,
[ so if tight corners will be encountered then lead tubing should be
 [ considered. -- Robbie
