Knott's Berry Farm Update
By Sharon Marie

Hi all,

I just got back from a fun day at Knott's Berry Farm. However, some-
thing was definitely amiss. It was not-so-fun to discover the current
state of the mechanical music machines at the park. Not much left of
the collection, from what I could find. What does remain, is in dis-
repair. The barrel organ is still at the entrance of the Bird Cage
Theatre. It was plugged in but wouldn't accept coins. Inside the small
museum were the Mills Violano, National nickelodeon piano, and a small
(make unknown) cabinet player. All of these instruments were tagged
"out of order." The facade of the Wurlitzer 157 band organ remains
sitting above the Dentzel carousel, just a ghostly shell of its former
self. Sad indeed.

Does anyone know the future plans for these remaining machines?
