Timing Mechanism on Polyphon Changer
By Mark Singleton

Can anyone help me please with advice on the timing of the disc-lifting
mechanism on a 22.5" Polyphon changer. The model is the one with the
vertically-mounted bedplate assembly. Mine went out of synch.

I can clearly see a heavy rotating disc with a detent, in which a lever
engages, that determines the release of the disc-carrier rack lock,
when the changer fingers are at the required rest height. My guess is
that it is probably a simple fix, but I don't want to go to the trouble
of removing the motor mechanism for further investigation, if I can
avoid it.
