Regina Questions
By Claudine Jones

I just bought a 15 1/2" short-bedplate Regina. It is different from
others that I have seen. It does not have the smooth, modern looking
case. It looks exactly like my older single-comb, mahogany Regina with
ribbon trim.

It sounds fabulous when open, very quiet when closed (what's with
that?). It is missing the brass stay for the lid. I have the broken
parts, but I'll need a replacement. It also has a metal plate over the
old coin mechanism, with the German word FROHESTUND (all in capitals).
Can anybody explain that word? Finally, it has a smaller drawer within
the disk drawer, perhaps a coin drop?

Thanks for your thoughts on these points.
