Music and the Younger Generation
By Bill Chapman

I read with interest the account of Nigel Perry's connection with the
family who had never heard a reproducing piano. When the father
actually heard a properly regulated reproducing piano he was moved.
There are probably a number of people who would become interested in
the culture of another epoch if exposed. They would soon find that the
musicians and engineers working a century ago were equally as capable
the musicians and engineers of today ... maybe even a bit better!

If MMD readers have a friend who would be interested in a complimentary
copy of the AMICA Bulletin (actually a magazine), you may send me their
name and mailing address. The Bulletin carries articles and pictures
of many instruments as well as articles on rolls and artists.

Email me at shazam32@earthlink.net.geentroep (deleting geentroep).
Messages go through a spam blocker, but will reach the intended target
