Looking for Lyrics to Old Music?
By David Haibach

I searched the MMD archives, and I do not believe this was ever
mentioned before; so I am passing this along.

For those of you looking to identify old tunes, or maybe find the
lyrics to some of those old non-word rolls, try the Parlor Songs
website: http://parlorsongs.com.

This is one fantastic site, where you can not only search the music,
but also see the sheet music for the old tunes, hear them on your
computer, and read a lot of information about the composers, publi-
cists, and their lives.  Parlor Songs has been around since 1997;
yet it has taken me this long to discover it.

Enjoy!

  [Rick Reublin and his partner, Bob Maine, do an amazing amount of
  [background research for each song they post in their themed monthly
  [installments. But a notice posted on the site says that the May
  [2007 issue will be the last installment for a while, giving them
  [time to revamp.
