Greg, my two-cents-worth:  Restore the organ to its original
configuration.  Like you said, it will be a rarity and should not be
lost.  If you want to also play the large variety of music available
today, add an unobtrusive MIDI system, _but_ make sure the MIDI
addition does not damage the original instrument and can be removed
again in the future.
