Ampico A System Removed From Grand Piano
By Rodney Diehl

Randy Hammond, I appreciate your comments. Surely the electronic com-
ponents will become unserviceable over time. However at my age they
will outlast me. One of the benefits of being older is that a 20-year
warranty doesn't mean a thing.

I no longer want to spend the time, the effort, or the money to restore
the Ampico mechanism. Therefore the Pianodisc system provides an inex-
pensive alternative that gives me instant gratification. The quality
of the music is not up to Ampico standards, but is good enough to sat-
isfy me and my audience.

The Ampico unit is on the shelf, hopefully awaiting a new owner that
will give it the attention that it deserves and an appropriate instru-
ment to truly show it off. $800 will get it to your doorstep.

The Pianodisc is installed and playing. I am happy, and the world is
good.

Rodney (The Destroyer) Diehl
