Cozatt Calliope With "O" Roll Player
By Richard Moody

A client in Platte, South Dakota, has a Cozatt calliope that has
a player mechanism. It plays okay from the keyboard but the player
part doesn't work. It has an "O" roll mounted in the spool box
that goes across the tracker bar but doesn't produce any sound.

As a player technician but with no technical experience with "O" roll
machines I can maybe figure it out, especially if I had an instruction
manual. I read the two articles in the MMD Archives on Cozatt but
I am wondering if anyone has info regarding the details of the player
mechanism. Another web site said it uses Wurlitzer 150 band organ
rolls, but somehow I lost that URL. So any info on this instrument,
especially the player part, would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Richard Moody
