Seek Brass Nipples and Airmotor
By Gary Stevenson

Happy New Year MMD! Does anyone out there have a full set (or just a
few, to assemble a set) of 90-degree "tracker tube size" brass nipples?
I have built a new stack for a player from scratch and had intended on
using straight nipples. I am close to finishing now and ran into a space
and alignment problem. That being said, I have to make a design change.

I can order new nipples from Schaff but had hope to locate a batch of
salvaged nipples to save money. I need 88 and hope to get them all from
one person to keep it simple. I also need an "air motor" for this piano,
any brand will do.

The piano I am restoring is a family piece where the family member has
a diary documenting the players purchase. It is a Starr Piano Co. piano
made in Richmond, Indiana. The diary talks about getting on a train and
making a trip from Southern Illinois to East Central Indiana in 1910.
The piano had a "partial" converted 65-note stack in it. I built a new
88-note stack because many parts were lost in a past family member's
failed attempt to "make it work."

Money is always good but if a trade deal can be worked out all the
better. I do have a PayPal account and can send some money if needed.
Thanks for taking the time to reading this,
