Orchestrion Decals & Pierce Piano Atlas
By Don Teach

Anyone looking for piano decals should check out this web site:

  http://www.pianoatlas.com/atlas.html

Owner Larry Ashley has a list of all his decals on-line that you can
look at. Some are hard to find. For example, the Wurlitzer decal for
the Pianino is listed under Pianino and not Wurlitzer. There are lots
of different Wurlitzer decals and Seeburg decals as well as the hammer
rail decal for the Mills Violano.

The new 12th edition Pierce Piano Atlas is also available on this
web site. We have tried to correct all the information on Seeburg
and Coinola (Operators Piano) serial numbers which still have some
errors as more information is uncovered. It has been difficult to
assign a serial number list to Seeburg and Coinola pianos as there
were different vendors of pianos to these companies.

Not all Seeburg or Coinola instruments use the same piano. Some were
supplied by Haddorff, for example, and some by Edmund Gram. Smith
and Barnes and Seybold both made pianos for Coinola at different times.
However, the 12th Edition Piano Atlas is interesting and very useful
for anyone in the piano business. Larry Ashley has an interesting
site so check it out.
