Dear Robbie and friends, I AM ALIVE!  I am still in room 4442
at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, Georgia, but
am expected to make a total recovery.

I would like to make a slight correction in the earlier report
[081231 MMDigest] which listed my home as Athens, Georgia.  I live
in Dahlonega, which is about one hour north of Atlanta.

For the time being, should anyone wish to contact me, please do
so through my brother, Laurin Smith, 196 University Circle, Athens,
GA 30605.  As to time frame for recovery they are now talking in
terms of a few more _weeks_ rather than months!

I personally wish to thank each of you who extended prayers and
kind wishes.
