Jim, Kalliope is likely not the brand name of your musical box.
That name is normally associated with disc-playing musical boxes
that were made in Leipzig, Germany, by the Kalliope Musikwerke.

The current literature (with thanks to Arthur W.J.G. Ord-Hume)
indicates that the mark 'SW' in an oval was made by Samuel Woog,
a London importer of musical boxes by L'Epee. So perhaps your
musical box was really made by Auguste L'Epee, who had workshops
in Sainte-Suzanne, France.

There are a number of restorers who can make the needed parts for
your musical box. They can be found by searching the MMD Archives
for restorers in the subject index of the search function.

Musically yours,

Bill Wineburgh
