FS: Suction Box by Lee Music Mfg. Co.
By Vic Searle

I recently had the sad job of dismantling a Wurly 150 organ which
I built in 1980, using Devtronix electronic tone generators run by
a standard roll-frame pneumatic action. The store which had leased
it closed and, since it was too big to bring to the nursing home where
I am incarcerated, I kept only the top part of the case and MIDIfied
the electronics. So I have a Lee suction unit in perfect condition
which is residing under my bed with the dust-bunnies and I'd very much
like to get rid of it.

The suction box was built for running a player piano, but is perfect
for them or pneumatic-operated band organs. It does not have a speed
control but a Variac or light-dimmer would allow control of the motor
speed.

It is not light weight but it can be sent by whale-mail. I'll try to
get an estimate of the shipping costs in a day or so, when I send off
my last box of rolls. If I could get $100 for it, I'd be happy.

Incidentally, Lee Music Mfg. Co. is no longer in business. The
telephone number doesn't work and my letters came back "Undeliverable".
It's a shame, as these units were the very best that I found in my
40 years of band organ and orchestrion work. I hope someone will take
it off my hands.
