Replacement Parts for Rare Player Pianos
By Stephen Kent Goodman

What is going to be missed most in the PPCo debacle is the loss
of specialized and difficult-to-find replacement parts for myriad of
player pianos, such as Angelus replacement valve parts, Artecho soft
modulator switch, red fiber Aeolian valve guides, Kranich & Bach valve
facings (ever try to cut these yourself?) and other difficult-to-locate
and/or time-consuming-to-fabricate parts that are essential to a proper
restoration to many off brand player actions.

Many of these player piano actions were used in American coin pianos
and orchestrions, e.g., Simplex player systems in Nelson-Wiggen machines.
