I am restoring a Kastner Autopiano action for a 1909 Challen Upright.
I need to make a test suction box.  I have a vacuum cleaner motor.

I need some plans and some advice about reducing the motor speed.
There is some electronic control with it and a potentiometer (479 K-ohms)
which controls the speed, but it is still too fast.  Can I just use
a potentiometer with a higher ohms rating?

I am on a Greek island so getting things is difficult.  I would
appreciate it if someone can help.
