I wish to thank all those who have posted comments about Walt
Disney mechanical music.  In the early 1950's a friend of my father
introduced him to the Raney's.  He purchased two machines from them,
a Nelson Wiggins 6X and a 5X, and shortly after Walt Disney purchased
the others for Disneyland.

My father sold the 6X to a friend and kept the 5X for himself.
I still have the 5X in my home and have fond memories of my first
trip to Disneyland in the late 1950s.  A few years back Terry Hathaway
sent me some photos from about 1949 of the two machines my father
purchased from the Raney's so I could prove their history.
