We are seeking a governor (air brake) for a 4.5" Edelweiss manufactured
by Hermann Thorens, circa 1905.  This is for the very early model which
has a heavy cast iron bedplate and is the first version of the "Open
Escapement" model.  The air brake is of the fan-blade type, and not the
centrifugal ball governor used in the boxes from the 1950's and later.

The governor bracket is 2.5" long with the top extending out 1" for the
upper pivot.  This type of air brake/governor is also used on the version
which was introduced in 1937.  Please e-mail:
