Seek Parts for 1916 Steinway Duo-Art Upright
By Larry Schuette

I have a 1916 upright with a piano action that is so badly damaged that
I am shaking the tree to see if there might be another one out in the
world. The fallboard has Steinway Duo-Art Pianola on it and the drop
down board has Metrostyle-Themodist-Temponamic on it. It appears that
the control levers and everything under the keyboard is there except
the motor and vacuum pump. The upper player action is also missing.

I need to find another Steinway of similar vintage (possibly a salvaged
one with water or flood damage) or possibly find someone who needs the
Duo-Art system parts still in the piano. I measured from outside edge
of wood hammer to the other outside hammer edge in all four action
sections. Measurements, from left to right, are 14-1/4, 14-1/2, 8-3/4,
9-1/4 inches.

I would appreciate hearing from anyone needing the Duo-Art parts or
from someone who might have Steinway piano or player actions available.
