Rolls for Simplex 65-note Push-up Player
By Keith Reedman

I don't know whether Tom Hutchinson received any response to his
enquiry for 65-note Simplex rolls for his push-up (MMD 091020). My
experience is that there is no problem.

A couple of years ago I completely restored my Simplex 65-note push-up
which had lain in a sad disassembled state in my garage for many years.
In complete ignorance of any discrepancy between Simplex and standard
65-note rolls, I adjusted the Simplex spool positions to accommodate my
considerable collection of standard 65-note rolls and have played them
perfectly ever since--and to my great satisfaction.

The only difficulties encountered have been with Wilcox & White rolls,
which require re-spooling and pin adjustment. In hindsight, I might
have skimmed sixty thousandths off the insides of the take-up spool
flanges; but as it is not a problem, I won't bother doing that now.
