I agree with Dave Bowers, now is a great time for mechanical music!
Instruments are selling for relatively low prices.  There is so much
information available to us in the hobby.  More resources to history
and more excellent recutting of music rolls.  These days, we have a
very clear window to the past, back in the wonderful time around 100
years ago.  I think we all tend to "idolize" it, though.  I know I do.
Probably because it is so different from our time today.

Now is the time to take advantage of all the resources we have for
automatic music.  I hate to say it, but before long, our authorities in
the subject will be gone and all we will have left is the information
left through publications and writings.  And the most listenable recuts
of the greatest music of all time!
