FS: David LeCoultre Musical Box
By David Evans

We have a fully-restored, re-pinned, and excellently playing Swiss
musical box by the renowned maker David LeCoultre. Its serial number
is 9954, which places it at ca. 1847. The 10 7/8" cylinder plays six
airs on a comb of 112 teeth, all with the typical LeCoultre square-cut
tips, and stamped D LeCoultre.

It is in a rectangular scumbled case with hinged end flap, the inside
finished in red "dragon's blood." The tune sheet is hand-written on
plain paper, and appears to be original. The winding key is probably
original.

Pictures can be emailed. Located in Revelstoke, BC, Canada, where you
are welcome to view and play it. We can ship it anywhere at buyer's
cost. Asking price: $6,000. If you are interested please email me at
mechmusicmuseum@aol.com.geentroep (deleting .geentroep).
