Tracing a Wurlitzer 105 Band Organ's History
By Dan Robinson

Jim Quashnock wrote in yesterday's MMD:

"Do any of you old-timers out there (which includes me) recall an
R.H. House who may have owned a Wurlitzer 105 band organ?"

While I'm not an old-timer, that name written inside the 105 that Jim
is restoring does ring a bell with me. The Wurlitzer 165 owned by
Circus World Museum, Baraboo, Wisconsin (serial no. 3030), was once
owned by Robert House of Manistee, Michigan. I have a copy of a
photograph dated 1959 of the 165 when it was in his ownership. The 165
was acquired by Wisconsin-based Skerbeck Shows in 1962, from whom
Circus World Museum later purchased it.
