Tin Toy Manivelle Music Box Plays Reeds
By Peter Heinesen

I recently came across a sort of tin toy music box. It operates with a
circle of reeds which is activated four at a time by a rotating valve.
The air is produced by a centrifugal blower which is activated by a
handle in the end of the box. Turning the handle engages the blower
and at the same time rotates the valve slowly. It is marked 'Made in
Germany' and is made entirely of tin plate.

Does anyone know which factory in Germany might have produced this tin
toy, and the approximate age? You can look at pictures and hear the
sound at http://www.peter-heinesen.dk/kolonihave/musicbox.htm
