Player Pianos and the Younger Generation
By Tim L'Amoureux

Hi All, Destroying musical instruments for entertainment seems to
go back a long way and continues to this day. Although I dearly love
"The Boys" as they were once known, they were guilty as well.

Does anyone remember the Laurel and Hardy classic, "The Piano Movers"?
That one broke my heart the first time I saw it. They completely
destroyed what appeared to be a brand new upright Ampico reproducing
piano. Definitely _not_ one of my favorite Laurel & Hardy films.

It's not just the younger generation that finds entertainment in
destroying things -- the generation or two before mine also seemed to.
One has to wonder where that desire comes from.
