Laurel & Hardy, Piano Movers in "The Music Box"
By Dan Harrett

Does anyone else remember a (thankfully temporary) college fad in
the 1950's or 60's, of racing the clock to stuff an old piano through
a six-inch hole in a board? I recall it was once covered in LIFE
magazine. Any means necessary, short of explosives, to reduce it to
the necessary dimensions. It had to be a working piano, meaning a
certain minimum number of keys had to be functional. I doubt players
were often selected for this honor; more material to reduce!
